Ladies I know times are tough right now so here’s a few simple tricks to treat your hair in between salon visits. Remember if you’re applying heat to the hair make sure you’re using a thermal protectant. Condition often and get trims every 4-6 weeks. This will keep your hair in great shape along with the tricks listed below.

At Home:

-Protect your ends and cut will last longer-The minute u step in the shower apply conditioner to dry ends. Shampoo and condition as normal. This prolongs a cut on the verge of looking “grown out”

-Use a Natural Boar Bristle Brush. It pulls scalp oils through hair and brings out the natural shine and luster as well as giving yourself a daily conditioning treatment.

At the salon:

-Ask for layers: Its low maintenance which gives flat hair volume and bounce.

-Hairline Highlights: I do this for my ladies who like a solid darker base. A few highlights around the face will prolong coloring for a couple weeks so your re growth or grey hair are less obvious.

-Subtle highlights: Ask for them to start about a half inch from scalp so it blends better while growing out.

We can still be fly without always being costly. Try it out. I’m sure you’ll notice a difference in your world and on your head.

The braided look is something that can be easily thrown in for and added twist, or dressed up for a special occasion. Weather you want to go for a simple hippie look, tossled updo or even a wedding, braids can go far. Here’s a few examples anyone can try. Have fun.
