So many ladies ask me “how do you get the nude lip.” Ready to get naked? There’s nothing indecent about it, at least not when it comes to a flesh-tone lip color (a la Jennifer Lopez). Instead of splurging on a new lipstick, as a makeup artists I sometimes dab concealer over balm-coated lips using their finger. The result? Creamy nude lips!

Here’s how I achieve it Ladies:

1.)First line lip with flesh tone lip liner

2.)Next a little dab of concealer in center of lip

 3.)Finally a shine gloss over it!

One of the downsides of updos is that they can be too severe and too “done”. But by texturizing the hair and creating lift in front, an upstyle like this one sported by Jessica Alba is flattering for a wide range of face shapes. Start by setting or crimping strands if hair is straight, or if the texture is inconsistent, then subdivide at the occipital (back of the head). Gather the bottom half into a loose chignon (bun). Lift top sections and gently backcomb at the base. Then draw sub-panels of the top sections loosely back toward the chignon and secure with bobby pins. Avoid pulling these sections too tightly. It does not have to be so structured. The result is soft, feminine and perfect for summer’s special occasions!

Michael Jackson’s music, choreography, style and sensibility changed the music culture forever. Not only was his music the soundtrack to so many memorable moments in our lives, but the risks that he took gave many of us in the beauty business the courage to pursue our own creative dreams. In the past and re-invented today without a doubt, hairstylists have been presented with more photos of Farrah than any other celebrity. She was the start of the sun-kissed, California beach girl trend that prevails to this day, along with the blow dryer and curling iron techniques needed to create those styles for those not lucky enough to be born with thick, tousled waves. What’s more, she maintained her signature look to the end, proving that women can look natural and sexy at any age.
